Yoga with Timothy Maguire

Yoga for people who can't do yoga

About Tim

I first discovered yoga in an ordinary place, my local YMCA, while my daughter was in a swim lesson. What began as a way to fill an hour quickly became something more meaningful. Beyond the physical movement, yoga offered mindfulness, breath, and a sense of calm that I hadn't experienced before.

Over time, yoga became a steady and supportive practice in my life. I came to it later than many people do, without a background in athletics or flexibility, and with plenty of assumptions about what yoga was "supposed" to look like. My experience challenged those assumptions and showed me that yoga doesn't require a certain body type, age, or level of fitness, it simply requires a willingness to begin.

RYT 200 CertifiedIn 2025, I completed my 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher training at Down Under School of Yoga in Brookline, MA, and I'm currently continuing my education through their 300-hour program.

I started Glazed & Grounded to create a gentle invitation into yoga for people who may feel intimidated by traditional fitness or yoga environments. My classes are designed for those who want to move their bodies, become more flexible, and explore mindfulness, especially if running, lifting weights, or high-intensity workouts don't feel like the right fit.

As a teacher, my aim is to offer a supportive and welcoming space, with an emphasis on breath, mindfulness, and deliberate movement. Classes are beginner-friendly, approachable, and grounded in the belief that yoga can meet you where you are, at any stage of life.
